MXyMAG.com is a stepping stone to building a Multi-Billion Dollar Empire

MXyMAG.com is the story of black business men coming together and taking the time to research develop a plan, overcome struggle, face harsh criticism all while making sacrifices in order to build a multi-billion dollar website from thin air.

Toronto, Ontario November 23, 2009---MXyMAG.com is where sexy lives in all its definitions as told by some eyecandy models through in depth interviews. MXyMAG.com launched in 2008 with a focus on interviewing “eyecandy” models. Women who are often viewed as nothing more than sex objects selling their body in music videos and print. The goal is to show the world that there are stories behind the sexy pictures, that when the cameras turn off they are people just like everyone else. Interviews cover topics such as business, entertainment, sex, culture, struggle, dreams, aspirations, womanhood and sometimes political views.

I appreciate that MXyMAG.com is interviewing me and the MXySTAFF takes the time to get to know me better, I often use my interviews as a way to get people to know me or get better jobs in the industry I’m looking forward to working with them again” — Denita Brown, Model

MXyMAG.com has been a growing brand ever since they started. In January 2009 the website’s content started outgrowing the website’s format and the website was upgraded to MXyMAG20. With the new framework better reflecting the website’s maturity. Though it isn’t without flaws the more intuitive and friendlier design allowed for more return visits. Throughout the summer the founder established an Executive Staff (ES) and a Creative Staff (CS) in order to better cover current events that affect Hip-Hop culture. Once a clear vision and a better mission were established the website grew up again. The current version of the website as it stands is MXyMAG29, with the numbers reflecting the improvement and changes made through the summer.

There is no such thing as a perfect product; the numbers after the website’s name are there to show our fans that we have listened to them and upgraded the website. The first digit reflects the framework and the second digit is the upgrade under that framework. We are currently showing MXyMAG30 to close business associates” -–Alvin Merchant, Vice President

The MXySTAFF just recently brought in James Wallace the creator of Imvivo.com in order to continue building up the site to better balance business entertainment and eye-candy in one space with current plans to launch MXyMAG31 for the general public early next year.

“The foundations of MXyMAG.com are designed to build up to a multi-billion dollar ecosystem. In order to do that it was very important that 31 takes after the simplicity and efficiency of Twitter and Facebook profile pages and that we establish a community around the brand. I feel that if we cannot turn our visitors into an established community that we will fail to go to that next level.” Michael Bole, Owner/founder

Though the face of the new website has been simplified even more the programming for MXyMAG30 is more complex. The new website has been designed to better balance “sexy, business, entertainment” while remaining, welcoming, educational and motivational all at the same time. Other features added to the new site will be the ability to allow users to log in through their Facebook and Twitter accounts, purchase pictures and though they didn’t go in to details they say that their marketplace is a glimpse in to a financial system that will allow for jobs and revenue for photographers, models, stylists and of course the MXySTAFF. I’m excited to see this site grow through the years, I’m always reading their articles and love that it has a “self help edge to it” plus I’m excited to see black men putting their egos to the side and pushing to build a website that is rich and potent in content.
