Imagine a luxury condo that looks over the vivid light of a cityscape. Beams of red lights and white lights on that city’s long roads for as far as the eye could see. At the window stands a black honey teary eyed Hagen Dasz bucket clutched in her hand. In her silk boy shorts and a unbuttoned shirt revealing a red bra. I guess if that bra is red then the silk should be blue. The lighting is dimmed down every spoon full of ice is taken in the hopes of cooling down her burned heart.

Her favorite music speak to her conflicting moods on her stereo in the background stimulating a horde of pictures of the last man that showed her promise but failed her again. Some are good so she tries to hold on to them but then pain sets in so she lets it go and slowly as the night goes on she lets that history fade out.

I'm guessing that every one reading this has been there before, down, alone broken hearted. The pictures may not resonate after all not everyone owns a luxury condo above the city. What everyone can relate to is losing a close friend, losing a good relationship. The emotions may not always be as strong or in some cases never stayed long but it happens to all of us. It's the inevitable process in life that defines what you are going to do after that and eventually who you will become.

Some turn to cruelty and try to burn everyone they catch in their crosshair, others simply close up and never remain the same for fear of returning to that point. Few remain the person who remembers but they decide to love again, be loyal again and help out the new friend who comes along.

It takes courage to be like that. To trust and give the benefit of the doubt and a trait like that doesn’t accompany many people especially women but it is a strong part of Tamara and she is the next eye candy on MXy.

CULTURE

"I think that Hip-Hop as a culture is starting to go downhill! A lot of artist are glorifying gun violence, drugs, and disrespecting females which in turn is causing a lot of young males to have a distorted view on life. A lot of young Black males believe that their success is defined by what they own and how many females they sleep with. No, I'm not putting all of the blame on Hip-Hop! I know that it is the parents responsibility to guide their child. I just think that a lot of artists need to be more careful about the messages that they are sending."

CHANGE

"If I could change 1 thing in this world, I would get rid of guns. The number of young people dying through gun violence is ridiculous.

GROWING PAINS

"My struggle began with taking criticism....In the industry people do not sugar coat things in order to keep from hurting your feelings....they say exactly what’s on their minds...I've learned to not take things to heart."
