08.05.008..Changing Face of American Life
One of the most significant changes to the franchise was the name. It went from THESEXy, MiSEXy (me-sexy), MXy Eyecandy to simply MXy MAG(azine). However, no matter how much sleeker the name got little sister was always limited by the shadow of big brother HH1 and the worst thing to ever do in life is to walk in someone else's shoes. Since we featured her last year in June the franchise has become responsible for a larger percentage of the traffic on HH1, thus outgrowing its current home and sometimes when things grow the best way to achieve more growth is to go their separate way and if they cross path in a distant future and things flow again then it was meant to be (right?).
01.29.008 Miss America
Kids are cruel. They make fun of what's different. I was and still am a tiny girl. It really hurt my feelings back then to have all these kids making me feel insecure and unsure of myself. I get the last laugh now though... most those kids have DOUBLED in size! Plus I'm doing what I want with my life, they're still doing the same shit. I finally went through something called puberty the summer before my senior year. I got HUGE boobs, ditched the glasses, and put some highlights in my hair. I felt good inside and it showed. I started to notice my guy friends were trying to mack on me a bit. And I started to get stopped and complimented by strangers... which I still find a little weird.
