Today I wanted to touch on what MXyMAG is about. In order to further cement its purpose I have to pull back in time, to my ex. I thought she was the prettiest thing in the world, eventually after getting to know her I got a vibe of her that she didn't feel as good as the "models" and it would always disappoint me.

That she didn't understand what SEXy really means. IMO being sexy isn't just relegated to how a woman looks. We talked a million conversations since then and now when I look at her I see a grown woman, sexy and strong.

Sexy is your state of mind, the ability to overcome struggle. The paradigm shift of when a woman stumbles on something and it changes who she is. The story of the caterpillar who grows to become a butterfly. The glow in her eyes when she discovers and grows one step closer to becoming free from the box she was boxed in from right into another bigger box and that is what MXyMAG is about.

It's about us being able to capture that moment and broadcasting that to the world. Creole Chinadoll understands the concept and that is why she recommended that her friend starts here and it was a good move because Chrissy went through a paradigm shift to do her very first interview. She was put in a position where she has to open up to the world.

She had to be removed past her comfort zone thus making her cover another side of what makes a woman sexy. The part where you remove her from her comfort zone and watch her pull herself together and in doing so Chrissy delivers one of the most in-depth interviews on MXyMAG and you get to experience sexy and that’s why you love the magazine it’s a SEXy experience. (oh man so tempted to use word play on the last two words, lol)

INTRODUCE
My name is Christohyn, pronounced (Chris-toe-nee-yunn), but I’m known as Chrissy. I’m an aspiring model originally from New Orleans. I currently reside in Mississippi, due to effects of Hurricane Katrina… but ooohh baby, I’m in the process of relocating back home to the N.O.!!

SEXY
I’ve always been told that I was pretty with a shape to die for since I was a teenager. I didn’t realize how sexy I actually was until I finally took my 1st set of professional pics & I hardly recognized myself! I said to myself “Damn, that’s me?!”

NUMBER 1
I’m already number one in my eyes, no matter if anyone else thinks so or not. To even be featured is a blessing, so I’m thankful. Some girls only make it as far as their myspace page! I don’t even have a myspace page & I’ve achieved a feature. To tell you the truth, I don’t even own a computer! But I’m determined to make it because this is what I really want & won’t let anything stop me.

CAREER
Well, as of now, I haven’t really done anything in the industry except for my first initial photo shoots. I’m in the beginning stages of getting my face out there & hope to turn it into a career once I get more exposure & experience.

MOTIVATION
My motivation is that I want to be someone in life & make something of myself, not just become another statistic. Hopefully I’ll positively influence someone else who may have experienced the same mishaps that I have. Hurricane Katrina heavily impacted my life, but I know I can’t use it as a crutch or excuse to why I can’t move on or start all over. Sure it was hard in the beginning, but it happened almost 4 years ago. Everyone who experienced this should go forward & stop dwelling on it. Look at how the world around us DID NOT STOP! My other motivation is to ultimately prove everyone wrong who doubted & tried to discourage me. They can feel free to stay on the ground while I spread my wings & take flight.

HATE
I hate liver, lol! No, but seriously… I hate when people try to get all in my business wanting to know what’s going on with me, just so they can mouth off their negativity. If you don’t want anything out of life, then that’s your own business. Don’t try to dishearten me from trying to reach my own goals.

FEAR
I have a huge fear of snakes. I’ve never overcome that fear.

GROWING PAINS
My growing pains involve me trying to put my foot in the door. Trying to use different facial expressions in my pics have been quite a challenge & something I know I need to work on. My curvy body does well on its own attracting an “urban” audience, but I want to show that it’s not the only modeling I can do. That’s the disadvantage to having a brickhouse body… it kinda limits women to the type of modeling jobs they’re chosen for.

FOREFATHER
The person who is my inspiration is my best friend, Kitty Kennedy. Most people know her as Creole China Doll. She’s been there for me a countless amount of years thru the good & bad times. She’s the 1st person I call no matter what the reason, & always provides words of encouragement & wisdom. My friend Hope is always there for me also. She’s a great person with a strong shoulder.

LIFE
As I mentioned before, I’m trying to relocate back to New Orleans. I have a few prospects on a place to live & employment. I can’t wait for life to return back to normal so that I may focus more on my goals.

SPIRITUALITY
To keep my spirits up, I do a lot of praying & also speaking to close friends who help me to stay focused & on the right track.

LOVE STORY
Learn to love yourself & value the word. Men need to stop using the word “love” for their own selfish purposes. Women need to stop allowing men to use the word “love” to trap them or render them helpless.
